Fans of Final Fantasy 14 may no longer have to worry about the in-game housing crisis, as Square Enix plans to fix the issue in a future update.

Final Fantasy 14 has been an MMO that many players have called home for years now. There are many classes available to play and plenty of activities to do with friends. The game owes much to its fans for its success, but it isn’t a stranger to server errors in Final Fantasy 14 that have plagued the game’s enjoyment in the past.

One particular issue that many players have found aggravating is the small availability of housing wards within the game. The game gives fans the ability to decorate beautiful houses in Final Fantasy 14 to entertain their friends, but less fortunate players have to watch from the sidelines sadly. The reason for this is that crowded servers have prevented new players from purchasing land for quite some time. In an effort to improve this, Square Enix announced in a recent post that it would fix this issue in the 5.35 update.

Square Enix has made many attempts to fix this issue in the past, but it has recently been thwarted due to COVID restrictions. With Square Enix’s latest solution, it has optimized the software to accommodate the enormous demand of housing wards. Square Enix is planning to build six new wards within the five housing districts; The Mist, The Lavender Beds, The Goblet, and Shiroganee.

That means that three wards and three subdivisions, or more precisely 24 new housing wards, will be open to new players and are available for free companies and single players. However, Square Enix warns fans that the implementation of the new houses may be subject to change depending on the process of development.

It is predicted that based on the previous history of scheduled update releases for Final Fantasy 14, these changes should be made around September of this year. It is fantastic that Square Enix is taking strides to improve an issue that has affected the fanbase for years. On top of this, there is supposed to be a new housing ward in Ishgard opening up as well. However, the Skybuilder Ranking titles will be the same for the Ishgard Restoration.

Either way, fans should rest easy knowing that they will finally be able to invest in some real estate within the game. Hopefully, these new areas will be able to sustain the high demand for housing for many years to come.
