Fortnite's Battle Royale mode is what draws in most players to Epic Games' mega-popular multiplayer game. The mode has 100 players dropping onto a huge island to fight against one another to see who can be the last one standing. New to Fortnite's Chapter 2, Season 7, aliens have cropped up on the island, as well as their Abductors, which are basically huge UFOs.
These Abductors can be found at various locations around the map, and if players get underneath one at the beginning of a match, they will be taken to a new low-gravity loot dungeon in the Mothership UFO. The Abductors will appear at random locations in every match and drop into the point of interest as soon as players start falling from the Battle Bus. Typically, these Abductors don't cause damage to players; however, one Fortnite player has managed to lose a match due to one of these alien ships.

A Reddit user that goes by Duckyboi10 posted to r/FortNiteBR to show a short clip of them placing in the 100th spot in a Fortnite battle royale match. The player dives off the Battle Bus in an attempt to land at the Steamy Stacks point of interest, but something gets in the way. As soon as the player is about to land in the area, one of the huge Abductors comes swooping into the POI, causing the player to get stuck to the side of it while still paragliding. After a few seconds of flying against the Abductor, it makes the player drop down to the ground from a very high distance.
Duckyboi10 fell from such a high point that they immediately lost all of their health and instantly lost the match with nothing that they could do to help them survive. Even though they lost the match, they were the first player to do so, which is quite a feat in and of itself. Some players commented on the Reddit post, telling Duckyboi10 how much of a challenge that is.
"I think it's harder to get #100 than to get #1," one user commented. Another said, "It's not who can be last first, but who can be first last." Even though Duckyboi10 failed to win the match, they managed to gain 215 XP and have a popular Reddit clip of their own.
