Fortnite: Popular Alien-Related Franchise Skins That Aren’t Available

Epic Games' battle royale Fortnite is still going strong after all these years, and among the ingredients that assured its success are its seasonal model and an incredible amount of skins and crossovers. With the current Season, Fortnite introduced a series of skins that share the theme of alien civilizations and characters, with both original additions and more crossovers like Superman and Rick and Morty. As such, because Season 7 – Invasion is not over yet, now is as good a time as ever to take a look at what other alien-related skins aren't available in Fortnite an could be coming in the future.

With a broad selection of skins that includes over a thousand cosmetic outfits, Fortnite players have a lot to choose from when starting a new game. Still, even if the game features several skins from franchises like Alien, Star Wars, and Predator, there is always room for more alien-themed cosmetics, even beyond Invasion. Fortnite skins are often based on popular franchises when it comes to crossovers, so the proximity of new launches can be an exciting time even for the battle royale's playerbase.

Chewbacca From Star Wars

Since Fortnite already includes several Star Wars skins, one for Chewbacca would make a lot of sense. The intelligent Wookiee companion of Han Solo is deserving a spot in the pantheon of skins for the battle royale because it's a major character from the movies, and it also fits perfectly thanks to its humanoid traits. Other alien species from the franchise could be hard to add because of their peculiar traits, such as Jabba the Hutt, who is a large slug-like creature. Even then, Epic did prove to be creative when it comes to solving similar issues, such as with the new Mecha Morty skin.

Mass Effect's Alien Races

Mass Effect rekindled the flame of players' passions when it returned in the form of the Legendary Edition, earlier this year. With the three mainline games fully remastered and changed to better fit modern times, Mass Effect:Legendary Edition's launch was a perfect occasion for Fortnite to add skins based on the game's alien races. Even if Epic didn't do it a few months ago, it doesn't mean there is never going to be an opportunity in the future. Mass Effect is among the best series to draw inspiration from, as most of the alien races players meet are humanoid in shape, meaning they could be easily adapted to Fortnite skins.

Destiny 2's Alien Races

With Destiny 2 being all the rage once again, the upcoming The Witch Queen expansion would be an incredible occasion to allow Fortnite players to become a Destiny 2 Guardian – or any other race. In fact, there could be skins for the Exos and the Awoken, which are playable races, or there could be skins for other races like the Hive. The Hive would especially make sense because of the theme for the new expansion, meaning a crossover event like that would be perfect for the battle royale. Overall, there are many other franchises from which Fortnite could add alien-themed skins, but these three offer lots of options.

Fortnite is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
