Mihoyo, the development studio behind Genshin Impact, is finally ready to share more details on its newest character Yoimiya. The so-called Queen of the Summer Festival is a pyrotechnician that's particularly good at picking off enemies from a distance with her bow.
According to Miho's official blog, Yoimiya is a burst damage dealer that hits opponents with various Pyro DMG and elemental skills. Her normal attack is the Firework Flare-up, which performs up to 5 consecutive shots with bows or a more precise aimed shot with increased DMG if charged. The first charge level fires flaming arrows, and the second charge level generates a maximum of 3 kindling arrows based on the charge time.

Yoimiya's talents include the Niwabi Fire-Dance, where she waves a sparkler that causes a ring of saltpeter to circle around her and remains while she's in the field. While the circle is active, the Niwabi Enshou will turn all of her arrows into fire arrows for increased damage. Her other talent, the Ryuukin Saxifrage, causes Yoimiya to leap into the air and fire blazing rockets that deal area of effect pyro DMG and mark a random enemy Aurous Blaze. While active, all normal, charged, plunging attacks and elemental skills and bursts by other party members that hit the marked target will trigger an explosion that will hit nearby enemies.

If you're even the slightest bit fond of ranged characters, Yoimiya might be up your alley. The blog also gave insight into her backstory, calming that she's a craftsperson known throughout Hanamizaka for her stellar fireworks. Children refer to Yoimiya as the "heroic sister" due to her insistence to help anyone in need.
While Yoimiya isn't available to unlock just yet (it's looking like her banner will go live on August 10th), there's plenty of time to gather the ascension and talent materials for her while you wait.
