When you first start playing Genshin Impact, you will immediately notice that most of the game's systems are tied to your Adventurer Rank. As you progress through the story, fight bosses, find treasure, and do quests, your rank will increase.

The more you increase your rank, the more game features you will unlock. There are a lot of systems connected to this feature, so to help break things down, this article will provide you with all the information you could ever need about your Adventure Rank and when certain features will unlock. Keep in mind that it does take quite some time to level up your Adventure Rank, especially when you hit Adventure Rank 40 and above.
Word Level Increases
One of the things that you will quickly need to learn to manage when dealing with increasing your Adventure Rank is the world getting harder. After you hit Adventure Rank 20, you will move to world level two. Additionally, every five levels after level 20, your world rank will be able to go up. This means that the enemies will be tougher, but you can get better materials for your characters and level them up even farther than before. In addition, there are four world level increase quests that will pop up when you hit the following Adventure Rank Levels:
- 25
- 35
- 45
- 50
Before you can level up your world, you will need to take on these quests and clear the corresponding domains. Afterward, your world level will automatically increase, keep in mind that you can lower your world level once every 24 hours if things get too hard.

Adventure Rank Content Unlocks
In addition to increasing your world level, hitting certain Adventure Rank Levels will actually unlock game features. Some of these features include the ability to play online with your friends and unlocking the popular Serenitea pot housing system. Character Ascension and Enemy Changes
Adventure Rank will also influence your character, weapons, and the enemies in the world around you. The higher your level, the more you can ascend and increase your party's level.
