Homeworld Tabletop RPG Pre-Orders Open Today

We first heard about Homeworld: Revelations almost two years ago. Courtesy of Modiphius Entertainment, the same folks who made The Elder Scrolls tabletop wargame and the Fallout RPG, Homeworld: Revelations uses Modiphius's 2D20 system to bring the rich lore of Homeworld to tabletop.

In Homeworld: Revelations, you play as a member of the Kharrak fleet fleeing the Taiidan Empire after the destruction of your homeworld. Aboard the mighty Mothership, the Kushan search for the legendary world of Hiigara, their ancestral home.

You can play as anyone in the Kharrak fleet, from a lowly fighter pilot to commander of a mighty battleship, or as technician aboard the Mothership herself. The core rule book covers the historical events of all four PC games, including Homeworld 1 and 2, Homeworld Cataclysm, and Deserts of Kharak.

Two years later and the day we've been waiting for has finally arrived. Modiphius has launched the pre-order page for Homeworld: Revelations and also given us a few more details about what to expect inside.

The 300-page book will include the entire Homeworld history, with details on the galaxy's factions like the Taiidan, Bentusi, Turanic Raiders, Kadeshi, The Progenitors, and the Galactic Council. You'll be able to take command of any of Homeworld's ships, from fighters to super capital ships, using simple rules that are easy to pick up.

There's also some never-before-seen Homeworld art to be found inside, too.

Polygon reports that Modiphius hired Martin Cirulis, one of the original Homeworld's writers to flesh out the rule book with lore. They also got buy-in from both Gearbox and Blackbird Interactive, developers of the upcoming third installment into the Homeworld franchise.

Modiphius still hasn’t provided a specific release date for Homeworld: Revelation, but you can pre-order here and sign up for email notifications for when shipping will begin.
