Insomniac helped spearhead the launch of the PlayStation 5 with the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which acts as a quasi-sequel to the original Spider-Man on PlayStation 4, in the same vein as Uncharted: Lost Legacy to Uncharted 4. That means that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is not as big as the first game and lies somewhere between DLC expansion and a full sequel or spin-off.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales follows Miles Morales shortly after the events of the first game. The story begins with Miles learning from Peter how to be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. When Peter leaves for a brief vacation, Miles must protect New York from some very nasty people. The question is, however, how long will it take to beat the game?
How Long Does It Take To Complete The Main Storyline?
If you stick to the story missions, you can beat Spider-Man: Miles Morales in about 7.5 hours. It's the most cinematic way to play the game, but you will miss cool upgrades and easter eggs by doing so.
If you decide to help out Manhattan by stopping crimes and clearing out strongholds, the game will take about 12 hours to complete. By completing the side activities, you will unlock new suits and abilities to help you fight crime. So this is the better way to play the game.
How Long Does It Take To Complete The Entire Game/Platinum?
If you plan to complete everything Spider-Man: Miles Morales has to offer, it will take you around 18 hours. The reason being is that it requires you to replay the main story on New Game Plus, so you can hit level 30 and unlock every skill.
Despite being a PlayStation 5 launch title, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is also available on Playstation 4.
