Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Is Releasing

After being indefinitely delayed earlier in the year, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been given a release window of Spring 2022, alongside a brand new trailer.

Geoff Keighley debuted a new trailer and release window for The Skywalker Saga during Gamescom's Opening Night Live. The trailer showcased some new footage of the game, as well as revealing that it will be arriving early next year.

Beyond revealing the game's new release window, we also got a brand new look at gameplay. The trailer showcased several third-person lightsaber battles and blaster duels, as well as a large Galaxy map and open-world areas to explore. Fans will also notice that it confirms that the game will feature voiced characters, not Lego grunts.

Although you might think that the Skywalker Saga is a repacking of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens with some new content based on more recent films, it's actually a brand new title that has completely different levels, cutscenes and features from the other games.

As you can guess from the title, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga covers every Star Wars episode from the prequel trilogy all the way to the sequel trilogy. It also contains levels based on The Mandalorian, although it has previously been confirmed that it won't feature any content from Star Wars: Rogue One or Solo: A Star Wars Story.
