The Doom Slayer has a very recognizable look. That bulky green armor and helmet are now synonymous with ripping and tearing, and there are surely fans of the Doom franchise that wish they could put on the Praetor Suit. Now they can, but in a more lightweight and breathable form, with the new Loot Crate Doom Capsule. It comes with two pieces of officially licensed, limited-edition apparel — one of which is a hoodie that features Doomguy's armor.
Loot Crate is offering a chance for Doom fans to show their love for the series by purchasing the newest addition to its Capsule Collection. Buyers have three options. They can buy the t-shirt, which is a colorful, graphic shirt with an image of the Doom Slayer tearing a demon apart for $25. There's also an option to buy the aforementioned hoodie that has pieces of the iconic Praetor Suit featured all over for $35. For those who simply can't choose between the two, both can be purchased from Loot Crate for a slight discount at $55.

Apparel isn't the only way to celebrate the series. Good Smile Company announced that the Doom Slayer is getting a Figma figure next year. Some action figures of the character have been criticized for their lack of articulation, but Good Smile Company promises fans they will be able to pose the upcoming figure in a number of ways. It also has very intricately detailed armor and will include The Chainsaw, a Super Shotgun, Crucible Blade, and BFG-9000 accessories.
The Doom franchise has been allowing players to decimate demons since 1993, but the series has seen a revival recently with two new games for the modern era. They have received praise from critics and fans alike, and both rank up as some of the hardest FPS games ever made. The challenge is part of the appeal, however, and its fluid, fast-paced combat makes slaying all the more fun. The series' heavy metal soundtrack also adds a lot to the experience.
The original games are a beloved part of video game history and they contributed to the popularity of first-person shooters when the genre was still in its infancy. The legacy of the first Doom persists today and testing electronic devices to see if they can run the title has become standard practice. In fact, gamers have discovered some pretty wild things that Doom can be played on, including cell phones and even a thermostat.
As for the future of the franchise, there will likely be more information on that at the upcoming QuakeCon 2021 event. The convention will be digital-only this year like it was in 2020. It will consist of live streams and announcements for games like Doom and other Bethesda titles. For those who like the Loot Crate Doom shirts, the convention will also offer similarly appealing, exclusive merchandise as well.
Doom Eternal is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
