Four years ago (or four years ago yesterday if we're being picky), Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle brought a charming and colourful new flavour of turn-based tactics to Switch. Featuring the unlikely pairing of Super Mario and Ubisoft's Rabbids, the game was nothing short of excellent, not only winning over Nintendo fans, but performing well enough to warrant a sequel.
To celebrate the occasion, the team at Ubisoft has shared a special piece of artwork depicting Mario, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach, and a delightful looking birthday cake. We can't believe it's been four years already…
Fans of the original have lots to look forward to with the upcoming sequel, Sparks of Hope. It was recently revealed that the development team has tripled in size to meet the game's "much bigger ambitions," and the title has already started to pick up award nominations despite not being out until next year.
