2K and Firaxis Games have revealed the first gameplay and walkthrough for tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
As previously reported, Players must take down Lilith, the Mother of Demons. Classic Marvel heroes will fight alongside The Hunter; a brand new customizable hero designed by Firaxis in collaboration with Marvel comics.
The new gameplay walkthrough trailer reveals more about the gameplay and story. Promising a story from “the darker side of Marvel,” Lilith was revived by Hydra, causing the start of a world-ending prophesy. She aims to revive her Cthulu-esque master Cthon, and her army of Lilin demons.
The Hunter is revived by the heroes; desperate enough to call upon the dark forces of Lilith’s own child, and the only one to have beaten her before. Build your bonds with these heroes, unlock unique costumes, power-up skills, and learn team-up attacks.
Gameplay uses card based combat, with heroes using their random hand and battlefield to their advantage. Shove foes into dangerous objects, close the gap on those far away, or shoot them with ranged skills.
The Abby, your hub, also promises to be a living area offering hours of exploration and story. Depending who you grow close to, you will unlock not just new cards for battle, but new features in the Abby.

The first gameplay stream will be revealed September 7th, showing the Hunter and Wolverine go up against Sabertooth.
