Insomniac Games has released a bunch of new details on Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered which will be available with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition on the PS5. Along with showcasing the game’s ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows, it also offers a look at the new face of Peter Parker. Check out the trailers below.
Concerning the face recast – Insomniac went with Ben Jordan due to his face having a better match with voice actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial expressions. Other features detailed included improved models and materials, updated environments, improved fidelity for characters, new weather effects and skies and much more. Performance mode, as promised, runs in a near-perfect 60 frames per second.
PS5 players can also expect “near-instant” loading, spatial 3D audio, support for the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, new suits and new options for Photo Mode (like changing Spider-Man’s suit once a shot has been composed). Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered launches on November 12th alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Unfortunately, owners of the base game on PS4 won’t be able to upgrade and can’t even purchase the PS5 version separately.
