Mass Effect fans may create fan art regularly, but few choose to add that art to their body. One fan has, however, turning their arm into a detailed and gorgeous tribute to the Mass Effect franchise.
While permanent tattoos are an important decision, that choice only becomes weightier for those looking to get an entire sleeve. Still, there have been some particularly gorgeous sleeve tattoos tied to video games, with one recently shared that shows the God of War cover art on someone’s leg. With the Mass Effect fan base being so passionate about the characters and lore of BioWare’s sci-fi RPG franchise, it was only a matter of time before a sleeve tattoo dedicated to the franchise became a reality.

It is hard not to be amazed at the beauty of the tattoo, with the Mass Effect art completely covering the arm of Reddit user IvyCommander. Instead of just a dark background, the tattoo artist perfectly captured a space setting, with a starry sky and various colors spread across the background. Blacks, oranges, and purples all clash together perfectly to make a realistic-looking galaxy, with the backdrop matching the look of the solar systems that players fly through during Commander Shepard’s journey.

The star of the tattoo is undoubtedly Tali’Zorah, with the beloved Quarian taking up a majority of the artwork. Tali is seen gazing up at the stars, with the character’s signature helmet perfectly represented. The different textures on her outfit are clearly visible, with every color being the perfect shade as well. Tali’s popularity has only grown in recent years, with everything from Tali body pillows to LEGO busts of Tali making the rounds. While this tattoo would be amazing if it just featured Tali and the space setting, there is even more to see on IvyCommander’s arm.
The bottom of the fan’s tattoo features the Normandy, the iconic ship from the Mass Effect franchise. The artist perfectly captured the unique design of the ship, and Joker would surely be pleased to know that his vessel was treated with love and care. The Normandy can be seen flying in front of a sun, with a small moon seen to the right of it and a planet in the bottom corner of the sleeve. Just like Tali seems to be looking up to the stars, the tattoo artist has perfectly captured the concept of the Normandy flying through the universe.
Unsurprisingly, the Mass Effect fan has received tons of praise for this tattoo, with many telling them to show thanks to the artist behind the sleeve. Fortunately, they confirm that they have shown that appreciation several times, something that is good to know given just how special this tattoo is.
