Though we didn’t have a ton of other details to go on, we’ve since gotten the demo which has seemed to recieve a pretty positive reception. Now, Capcom has also decided to release a detailed roadmap of updates for the game once it’s officially released. The progression of Monster Hunter Stories 2 updates will be as follows:

  • July 15: Monster Hunter Rise’s Palamute companion will become a rideable Monstie.
  • August 5: A new co-op quest will be added that will feature the (non-rideable) Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth. Additionally, Hellblade Glavenus and Boltreaver Astalos will become new Monsties.
  • Early September: Soulseer Mizutsune, Elderfrost Gammoth, and Oroshi Kirin will be added as new Monsties.
  • Late September: A new, difficult co-op quest will be added that will include Kulve Taroth, and it also includes substantial rewards. Additionally, Dreadking Rathalos and Molten Tigrex will be included as new Monsties.
  • October: Another new co-op quest will be added against an announced monster. This quest will provide the opportunity to gain materials needed to craft powerful equipment. The Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian will also be joining as Monsties.

If the demo isn’t enough to tide you over for the Monster Hunter Stories 2 official release, you can always go check out our preview of the game. We’ve labeled it a “cute and accessible delight” for Monster Hunter fans, so the outcome of the official release at least seems promising.

Likewise, you can also check out the preview for Capcom’s upcoming The Great Ace Attorney Adventures. The game still maintains that same overwhelming tension in the court room, so you can look forward to this impending battle of wits.
