Nintendo Switch Sales Hit 68.3 Million Worldwide

nintendo switch

Nintendo has released its latest earnings report, announcing that the Nintendo Switch has sold 68.3 million units worldwide as of September 30th. This is up from 61.44 million units in August with 6.86 million units being sold in the quarter ending September 30th. Software sales hit 49.81 million in this past quarter as well.

The company has since adjusted its forecast for units sold from April 2020 to March 2021 from 19 million to 24 million units. With some big releases left to go, like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Bravely Default 2, it’s more than likely that Nintendo hits that mark. And it should be right on time for the rumored Switch Pro that’s apparently launching in early 2021.

Speaking of upcoming release, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is out on November 20th with a free demo now available on the Nintendo eShop. Bravely Default 2 arrives on February 26th 2021 with new gameplay recently being released. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
