Today, MediaTek will release sub-flagship SoC Dimensity 8100, at the same time manufacturers are also expected to announce the corresponding device with this new SoC.

According to reports, one of the new machines from OnePlus will be equipped with the Dimensity 8100, which features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED screen, a centered single-hole straight screen, a rear matrix lens module 50MP IMX766 main camera, a 4500mAh dual-cell battery, and a fast-charging solution that may also be 150W.
Dimensity 8100 uses TSMC 5nm process, has four 2.85GHz A78 cores and four 2.0GHz A55 cores, with G610 MC6 GPU, equipped with the same 4MB triple cache as Snapdragon 888, supports LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1.
In addition, Lu Weibing, partner of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, interacted with MediaTek officials via Weibo. This also means that the new Redmi phone is expected to be equipped with the new Dimensity 8000 series processor.
