Owing to its very nature, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a game that seems perfectly suited to the Switch, which is why it’s been baffling that even over a year on from its launch, it still isn’t available on Nintendo’s hybrid console. Well, that’s going to be rectified soon. As the rumours would have had you believe, the multiplayer shooter is headed to the Switch soon.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville – Complete Edition will launch for the Switch in March, and as its name suggests, it will include the base game, as well as all post-launch content that has been released for it, and retail for a price of $39.99. The game also adds support for gyro controls on the Switch.

“We are excited to bring everyone’s favorite Plants vs. Zombies characters to Nintendo Switch for the first time, giving players the ability to play in their homes or on the go, however they choose,” producer Melvin Teo said in a press release. “The Switch’s motion controls allow us to try a fresh new take on Neighborville, and with its docked and portable play, we have the ability to bring the game and its characters to life in ways that weren’t possible before.”

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and launches for the Switch on March 19. You can read our review of the game through here.
