Paradox Interactive have released Going Green, the latest DLC pack for their popular prison management sim, Prison Architect.
The main focus of this new DLC pack is the addition of gardening to the list of inmate activities. Players can assign inmates to field work, allowing you to grow crops like wheat, apples, and potatoes.
These crops can be used to supplement prison meals, or sold for a profit. This new activity comes with new contraband, meaning you’ll need to make sure your inmates aren’t growing hidden illegal crops, or sneaking out with crops that can be used to make bathtub gin.
The DLC also adds green energy options, like wind and solar. These can supplement your more traditional power options, or be sold back to the grid. The Going Green DLC is available now for $9.99 USD. You can find the launch trailer below.
The DLC is accompanied by a free update as well. The Glasshouse patch adds a recycling system, new quick rooms, two new K9 companions, and a variety of community requested features. You can read more about the update here.
It’s also worth noting that Prison Architect is currently holding a free weekend on Steam, along with a hefty discount on the base game and some of the past expansions.
