Ratchet & Clank Heading To Rocket League As Free DLC Bundle

Ratchet & Clank are crashing into Rocket League on August 18. The dynamic duo will be available as part of a free DLC bundle on PS4 and PS5 – a bundle that includes a variety of exclusive toppers and decals.

The free Ratchet & Clank bundle in Rocket League will include the aptly named Ratchet & Clank Punk Decal for Octane, Negatron Collider Boost, Clank Balloon Topper, and Ratchet Balloon Topper. Claiming the DLC bundle couldn't be easier – simply log in to Rocket League on a PlayStation console and the items will be added to your inventory. Not a bad way to kick off Season 4.

“We’re big fans of Ratchet & Clank here at Psyonix and it’s one of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises,” Jeremy Dunham, product and content strategy director at Psyonix, said. “That’s why teaming up with Insomniac to make cool content for the PlayStation community was both a thrill and a privilege to work on.”

Ratchet & Clank's DLC bundle will only be available in Rocket League until January 3, 2022, so pencil in some time over the next four months to log in and earn the free gear.

August 18 also marks the arrival of a 120Hz "Video Quality" mode for Rocket League on PS5. Both a Quality and Performance mode will be available, with each offering a unique "soccar" experience:

Quality

  • 4K resolution at 60 FPS with HDR
  • HDR requires HDR10 compatible display and HDMI 2.0 cable or better
  • 4K capable display required to experience 4K. If a 1080p display is used, the game will render at 1080p supersampled from 4K

Performance

  • Game runs at 2688×1512 resolution (70% of full 4K) at 120 FPS with HDR
  • Game UI runs in 4K
  • 4K capable display required to experience 4K UHD. If a 1080p display is used, the game will render at 1080p supersampled from 2688×1512
  • HDR and 120 FPS require a compatible display, as well as Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable

More Rocket League content is heading to PlayStation consoles later this month with a refreshed PS+ Pack – and you can find more details on the official PlayStation Blog.
