RWBY: Arrowfell Is A Co-Op Game Developed By WayForward

Announced almost a year ago, we finally have another trailer for WayForward's RWBY game – and it came with a title and release date. RWBY: Arrowfell is a co-op sidescroller, and is scheduled to launch at some point in 2022.

The trailer gives us a peek at the sidescrolling gameplay, which appears to support four-player multiplayer. While some of the story will be told with voice acting over still images, it appears that there will indeed be cutscenes in the style of the show, which we also get a look at in the new trailer.

All four Huntresses will have different playstyles, and from the trailer we can briefly make out some aerial combat as the characters platform around the stage defeating enemies.

We do not have a specific release date set in stone just yet, but RWBY: Arrowfell will launch in 2022, and is set to come to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

This isn't the only recent news for fans of WayForward's games. Shantae has now joined the Super Smash Bros. cast after years of fan requests… as a Mii fighter. While undoubtedly causing some disappointment among fans who would have preferred to see her as a full-fledged fighter, it's a nod to the games nonetheless. Instead, it was the Tekken fans who lucked out this time around, as Kazuya took the new character spot in June.
