With a little over a month to go until the 2021 Tokyo Game Show, a teaser website has gone live. While the website is pretty sparse at the moment, it does confirm that a “Sega Atlus Channel” live stream will take place October 1 through October 3. While no additional details are offered, it is exciting to anticipate what fun will come out of the stream.
The Tokyo Game Show will once again take place virtually this year. Running four days (September 30 – October 3), this year will encapsulate the theme “Still, we have games”. With the Sega and Atlus channel going live for most of those days, it is likely that it will not be a continuous stream but rather several smaller streams to announce and show off new titles. Though with no details, it is hard to speculate what is planned.

Since the Tokyo Game Show channel will feature Sega and Atlus, it is likely that news concerning the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei 5 will be revealed. The game, which was announced during Nintendo’s E3 showcase, is set to release November 12. With the stream happening a few short weeks before the release, it is possible we will see some new gameplay or get more information on the rumored online features of the game.
Of course, the showcase will more than likely offer news on the Persona series as it gears up to celebrate its 25th anniversary. With several projects for the series being teased by Atlus, there are a number of announcements the developer could make. For a while, it has been rumored that a remaster of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be hitting consoles soon. The remaster was supposedly leaked earlier this summer and would make a great treat for fans of the series. It is also rumored that a new entry in the Persona series is set to debut sometime this year. The reveal of Persona 6 would surely make quite the stir at the event.
In more Sega news, the #Love_Sega campaign has kicked off from the Tokyo Game Show. This campaign, which will run until September 12, is asking fans to share images or videos of themselves with their Sega and Atlus merchandise or cosplay on social media. These images will be featured on an official website and will likely be part of a video or stream during the Tokyo Game Show.
