Many of us have already been talking about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as “the game that’s still popular after ten years,” but as of this November, that statement will officially be accurate. Skyrim first came out November 11, 2011, so in a few more months, the game will truly be a decade old. In honor of Skyrim’s tenth anniversary, a contest will be held in which the winner gets a chance to be featured in upcoming projects. The projects have not been unveiled yet, but they will be later on this year.

For this contest, they’re looking for lovers of Skyrim to share any type of creative work they’ve done related to the game. This includes any type of art, cosplay, a story, a video, or more. They’re looking to receive art that captures your journey with Skyrim, whether it’s a grand adventure or hilarious mishap during your time spent on the game. They’ve also said that they would enjoying seeing expressions of how the game has impacted you in real life.
You can submit your entry on the Elder Scrolls website submission page. If your piece is selected, you will be contacted by Bethesda for further steps. Guidelines for entries have been listed as follows:
- You need to be 18 or older
- You have all rights to your entry
- Your entry does not infringe upon others’ privacy, publicity, or intellectual rights
- Your entry does not contain offensive content
- Your entry does not contain music or other third party material
This is a great opportunity for artists to gain some visibility and also a chance for all lovers of Skyrim to find a new way to express their love for the game as opposed to restarting it yet another time. If you’re anything like some of our writers, you’ve got Skyrim on the brain most of the time anyway, so might as well use this cool way to take advantage of all our passion.
