There are plenty of new games that gamers are looking forward to coming out, and Solar Ash is one of them. The new game is developed by Heart Machine, the developer of Hyper Light Drifter, and will be published by Annapurna Interactive. While there wasn't an initial release date for the game, the developer still showed gameplay of Solar Ash for gamers to enjoy.
The developer would eventually share more details about Solar Ash, including more gameplay videos and the release platforms for the game on the PC, PS4, and PS5. The recent Annapurna Showcase revealed a new gameplay trailer for Solar Ash that showed off more of the game. By the end it revealed that the game will be releasing later this fall on October 26.

The new trailer also revealed that the game will be available for purchase on the Epic Games Store. The trailer ended up showing more of the enemies, locations, and the core traversal gameplay gamers can expect from Solar Ash. The trailer opens with a somber tone as the game's protagonist, Ash, awakens in the palm of a titanic, luminous being with gaps in between their arms and a long spear piercing their chest.
From there, the trailer goes on to show scenes of Ash traversing through several locations in the game. The Solar Ash gameplay footage includes a snowy area around a giant crystal, an industrial location with connective pipes to ride on, and a large landmass floating in the skies. It also provides glimpses of different types of ruins that possess fantastical qualities.
Additionally, three new entities are shown that will appear in Solar Ash as potential enemies, which seem similar to the bosses from Shadow of the Colossus. The video shows the first one when Ash travels on an upward pipe leading to a lone moon with a giant, multi-armed, lunar being. The second is a massive, flying, serpentine creature with armored plates that Ash is seen moving on. The third is a cyclopean flying creature covered in an armored shell around its entire body.
The trailer shows a bit of brand new gameplay as Ash uses a lance-like weapon to pierce an ominous red sphere that's possibly located on one of the two armored flying creatures. This leads to a colorful visual display and a dynamic explosion that blows the character back. Then it cuts to a scene of the same luminous titan from the beginning of the trailer who closes its hand around Ash seemingly to crush her.
Solar Ash will release on October 26 for PC, PS4, and PS5.
