Depending on your region, we’re less than a week away from the launch of Sony’s PS5, and less than two weeks way from the full worldwide rollout. It’s an exciting time, especially as 2020 has been a rough year for everyone. You no doubt still have a few questions, even though Sony has seemingly shown off everything major for the system at this point, but just in case, we’ve got three informative videos about some of the basics.
Sony has released a trio of instructional videos about some of the core things you’ll probably need to know at launch. One of those is how to open and use your account when you get your PS5, the second is about how to transfer your data from your current PS4, with the third being maybe the most interesting as it shows how you can preset settings. As you’ll see in the video below, you can actually set things like difficulty, whether you want performance or graphics mode, audio options and the choice between first and third person at the system level. If games support options there, it will automatically set them whenever you boot up that title.
The PlayStation 5 is set to launch November 19th worldwide with select regions being a week earlier on the 12th. As of now, Sony has said that all PS5 launch day sales will be online only, so it’s doubtful you’ll find them at all on store shelves.
