Spelunky and Spelunky 2 Launch August 26

We knew that Spelunky and Spelunky 2 were both on their way to Nintendo Switch in the summer of 2021, but it was just a matter of confirming when. Well, the curtain has finally been lifted and we have the launch date: August 26! There’s even an adorable trailer showing off the newly finalized release date:

The game sets players exploring a never ending variety of caves, with the “never ending” bit being the courtesy of randomly generated levels. It’s wonderful to know that Derek Yu’s beloved duo of Spelunky games is just a couple of weeks away; will you be giving them a download? Tell us in the comments!
