The year is almost over but we could yet see the release of Stardew Valley’s latest update. According to creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone on Twitter, update 1.5 could still release this year on PC and early next year for consoles. While this isn’t confirmation by any means, there’s still some hope especially since the update was confirmed to be in the “home stretch” in mid-November.
Barone also shared some new features, confirming the new “Beach Farm” type along with “Advanced Game Options.” The latter allows for modifying the Community Center Bundles and rewards from the mine. Players can also tick boxes to let monsters spawn on the farm or “Guarantee Year 1 Completable.”
It remains to be seen if there will be other features added, either now or somewhere down the line. Barone already confirmed previously that the update would have “lots” of new content including a “significant” new piece of end-game content. Expect more information and detailed patch notes if it ends up coming out this month.
It might come out this year on PC, and then on console early next year

If you're a seasoned player thinking of starting a new farm when 1.5 comes out, I'd like to highlight a couple of new features. There will be a new farm type, "Beach Farm", and a new "Advanced Game Options" menu, from which you can adjust some aspects of the game: pic.twitter.com/iMnw2uGLEO
