Nintendo have announced that Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character in Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pyra is the Aegis; a very special Blade. Blades are living weapons who are joined to a living person, granting them their weapon in battle.
For those familiar with the plot of Xenoblade Chronicles 2; Pyra is also able to turn into another being called Mythra. This allows her to use light-based attacks.
Pyra launches March 2021, and will also be part of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 along side Min Min from ARMS, Steve from Minecraft, and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.
