Genshin Most Definitely Is Life In This Adorable Gender Reveal Party

Genshin Impact – the enchanting open world RPG developed and published by miHoYo – has continued to take the world by storm since its release last year and continues to cultivate dedicated and loving fans worldwide. Countless fan art dedicated to its many kawaii characters, as well as video edits with gameplay mashed up with love songs can be seen across the internet. Twitter is a huge showcase for the love, as hashtags expressing devotion to Geshin can be seen such as #ilovegacha and #genshinislife.

In fact, one couple took the #genshinislife hashtag quite literally when celebrating a new life at their non-fire inducing gender reveal party. The TikTok video currently has over 376K likes.

It begins with the excited couple playing a video on a TV screen, which appears to be an edited version of Genshin. However, instead of characters and weapons, the wishes used pulled baby items, such as a Pikachu toy and diapers and eventually, a male protagonist!

Instestingly enough, many people did not expect Genshin to have such a huge impact in the gaming world before it was released in September 2020. However, it quickly lived up to being a “sleeper hit” as it had over 20 million people pre-registered before it came out. Additionally, it was downloaded over 17 million times in the first week alone. Cosplays depicting characters such as Paimon have been floating on the internet for months, as well as more and more merch being available for purchase, like the cute Guoba pot that was released in January. Merch aside, Genshin Impact is currently estimated to generate around $175 million a month from the game alone. It appears the popularity of Genshin Impact will not be waning any time soon, as a new boss was teased to be part of the 2.1 update.

Genshin Impact is currently available on Windows, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for free, and get ready to start building those ice bridges to Inazuma on the Switch, as it is set to be released for Nintendo at the end of this year or the beginning of 2022.
