Dontnod Entertainment’s Tell Me Why should be immediately familiar to anyone that’s a fan of the studio’s previous work on games like Life is Strange. It mainly consists of players walking around environments, interacting with objects, and having conversations with people to advance the story. But like Life is Strange, there are secrets to be found in Tell Me Why‘s game world that players will need to discover if they hope to unlock all of the achievements. Please note that this article will have some minor spoilers for Tell Me Why. We recommend users play through the Chapter normally first.

In Tell Me Why Chapter 1, there is an achievement for getting a full confession out of Tessa, who helps run the local general store with her husband Tom. Alyson and Tyler are pretty much free to explore the store to their hearts’ desire, but there are some key things that players will want to trigger if they hope to get a full confession out of Tessa. The first goal is to watch the three memories throughout the store, which players can trigger by telling Tom to put on the old song that Tessa and Mary-Ann used to dance to back in the day.

After watching the memories, Tell Me Why players will want to collect more concrete evidence. The first is found on Tessa’s computer in her office. Check the email from the Alliance for Traditional Families to learn about the Virtue Seekers Youth Camp and get the first piece of evidence. The next piece of evidence can be found in Tessa’s filing cabinet, in the notebook marked 2004 that’s conveniently sitting on top of the pile. Flip through the pages to get some more evidence to confront Tessa with.

With all the necessary evidence in tow, it’s time to confront Tessa. During the conversation with Tessa, it’s important to choose the correct dialogue options, or else players won’t get a full confession out of her and they’ll have to start the process all over again. When asked to pick a month, be sure to select October 2004. Then confront her about the camp, and be sure to tell her the correct name for it, which is The Virtue Seekers Youth Camp.

After selecting these dialogue options, Tell Me Why players should get a full confession from Tessa and they’ll unlock the corresponding achievement as a result. It’s certainly one of the more difficult achievements to get in Chapter 1, but it’s not too bad if players know exactly what they need to do to unlock it. If nothing else, it should help anyone completing Xbox Game Pass quests make progress toward those goals as well.

Tell Me Why is out now for PC and Xbox One.
