Tennis World Tour 2 releases in September on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Publisher Nacon is collaborating with Big Ant Studios for Tennis World Tour 2. Among other titles, the Australian developer is behind AO Tennis 2 and Ashes Cricket. You may recall that I reviewed AO Tennis 2 in the spring and called it “a solid attempt at a simulation-style sports game.”
Unlike that game – which lacked a number of the biggest names in tennis – this one at least has both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. It includes 38 tennis stars, including female players like Ashleigh Barty.
In Tennis World Tour 2, fans can experience “a realistic tennis game that captures all the sport’s unique characteristics and competitiveness,” Nacon says in a press release.
“Using feedback from a fan community comprising some 700,000 gamers, many aspects of the game have been redesigned from the ground up. This includes faster gameplay that puts players’ skills and nerves to the test. More animations have also been added, which improves the game’s realism and fluidity,” the publisher adds.
What’s new?
Big Ant Studios is introducing more diverse content for this new game in the series. It has doubles matches and Tie Break Tens. This format consists of short matches where the winner is the first to reach 10 points. It’s ideal for when you want to play a quick match.
