Ten years after its original release on Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is being rereleased on Switch this July 16. No news on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, but the previous home console game in the series is coming to Switch in HD with optional motion controls using the Joy-Con controllers. Not only are Switch players getting the game, but special Master Sword and Hylian Sheild themed Joy-Cons will be released on the same day.
Skyward Sword was the second game in the series that featured Link fighting right-handed due to the use of motion controls. Along with advanced motion controls, the game introduced other new features such as stamina, collecting materials, weapons breaking, and using a sail-like object to break Link’s fall that are later found in Breath of the Wild.
