Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer Shows Us More Of Carnage

Sorry, Spider-Man fans, no trailer for No Way Home just yet. Instead, feast your eyes on the brand new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. We got to see more of Eddie and Venom, played by Tom Hardy, Cletus Kasady and Carnage, portrayed by Woody Harrelson, and Shriek, played by Naomie Harris.

In the comics, Shriek is a supervillain who has the ability to manipulate sound. The trailer shows her screaming, generating pulsing soundwaves that shatter glass and damage everything around her. Shriek will be the love interest of Kasady, a fitting couple given their equally chaotic personalities. In the comics, they escape from Ravencroft together and embark on a killing spree. It's unclear how exactly their relationship will play out in the film.

There are a lot of spectacular shots of Carnage in this trailer, including one shot where Kasady violently transforms into the red Symbiote. Unlike Venom, who wraps themself around Brock like a suit, Kasady violently shakes as Carnage contorts and warps out of him, suggesting a much more violent and unstable pairing.

The overall tone of this second trailer is much darker than the first one, which began with a funny clip of Venom making breakfast for Brock in their apartment. While this trailer still has lighthearted moments, including one character saying the symbiote and their host need to go to couples therapy, it starts with Venom expressing their need to hunt and eat bad guys.

We see more of Ravencroft, the facility where Shriek is being held in isolation, as well as Carnage's prison escape. The Carnage symbiote looks truly chaotic, sporting multiple arms and weapon-like appendages. Venom has definitely met their match, as shown by their hesitance to fight Carnage, shouting "That's a red one!" fearfully.

Tom Hardy is signed on for a Venom trilogy, so although we don't know exactly how this film will end or if it will start to tie into the MCU, we do know we'll be getting another Venom film at least.
