Gaijin Entertainment have released the Ixwa Strike update for their vehicle-based multiplayer shooter, War Thunder.
Ixwa Strike’s name is derived from the fact that the update adds South African forces to the game as an offshoot of the British tech tree. There are over 20 new South African ground vehicles in the game, including the Olifant Mk.2, the Rooikat MTTD, and three variants of the Ratel.
There are also new aircraft and ships, including the Su-17M2 (the game’s first variable-sweep wing aircraft), the Mirage IIIE, the F8U-2, and the SMS Kaiser. Other new features include advanced pilot HUDs for many of the game’s more modern fighters, a new map, new air-to-ground missiles, upgraded graphical and sound effects, and more.
