If you are expecting God of War Ragnarok to be released on PlayStation 4, then I have some very bad news for you because our sources have stated that it will not be on PlayStation 4, and Sony has not mentioned that God of War Ragnarok will be releasing on PlayStation 4 either. This is not the only PlayStation First Party game that is not releasing on PlayStation 4 because Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is never coming to PlayStation 4, either same with Returnal and Demon Souls Remake.
You will have to try to get a PlayStation 5 despite all the stock problems, but it might become easier by the end of 2021 or even before because Jim Ryan said that Stocks would return to normal in the second half of this year.
So good luck to everyone who will be trying to get a PlayStation 5 for this game. I still haven’t gotten mine either, so you are not alone. There’s a lot of people out there trying to get a PlayStation 5, and the stocks they are bringing to some countries is really low compared to big countries. It literally gets sold out in seconds. Hopefully, this problem gets fixed as soon as possible I really want to play God of War Ragnarok Day One, but it isn’t possible if I cannot get a PlayStation 5 because of these stock problems. I think all of this might improve around the end of 2022 because of the new registered PS5 model. Sony is trying to create a new model of PlayStation 5 with minor hardware differences to make sure that they meet the demand.
