Microsoft and Sony have both been playing an unbearable waiting game as far as releasing crucial details on their upcoming consoles is concerned, with things such as prices and release dates being complete unknowns for now, and while they’re bound to talk about that sooner rather than later with the PS5 and Xbox Series X both due for release this Holiday, it seems we’re going to have to wait for those details a little bit longer- at least for the Xbox Series X.
Lately, there have been plenty of leaks about the Xbox Series S, while recent reports have also talked about the console’s price as well as more new information about Xbox Game Pass. Reports had suggested that all of those details would be coming in August, and Xbox boss Phil Spencer himself had suggested something similar, but it seems those plans have been delayed. Over on ResetEra, industry insider shinobi602 said that news related to Xbox that was supposedly due this month will be coming a little later, before elaborating in a subsequent post that those plans have now been delayed into September.
With Microsoft having confirmed that the Xbox Series X will be launching some time in November, September already seems to be cutting it too fine with all of this crucial info- hopefully, we won’t have to wait any longer than that.
Meanwhile, a recent controller leak may have spilled the console’s exact release date as November 6. Read more on that through here.
