The ridiculous waiting game that Microsoft and Sony have been playing with each other to announce the price and launch date of their next-gen respective next-gen consoles has finally come to an end. Yesterday, Microsoft officially unveiled the Xbox Series S, which is due out on November 10 and will be available for a price of $299.

Now, in another new tweet, they’ve confirmed the pricing and release date of the Xbox Series X as well. Unsurprisingly, the Series X will be launching on November 10 alongside its counterpart. It will be available for a price of $499. Both of these details were also leaked yesterday in one of many Xbox-related leaks.

Additionally, Microsoft also confirms that pre-orders for both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S will be going live on September 22.

Yesterday’s aforementioned leak also stated that Microsoft were planning a press event to release more details on both consoles very soon, while other reports have mentioned that the same will be coming before TGS 2020 kicks off later this month.

Now we’re all just waiting on Sony.
