Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available on the Windows 10 Xbox App for those partaking in the Insider program. Anybody can opt in so, if you want to, you can trial out Microsoft's streaming on PC.
Previously, this was only available on mobile devices but it is now available on PC and the expansion serves to give players a wider selection. Specifically, Xbox Cloud opens the door to 360 games which were, prior to the service, only available on Xbox One and Series X|S due those titles running through an emulator.

Move aside Mario and Sonic because this means you can delve into Blinx. Or, you can play Banjo-Kazooie – your call. At any rate, with steady bandwidth and a supported controller, you can get in on an even larger catalogue now. The only caveat is that it's for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers only.
Cloud streaming means that you don't need good hardware and you don't need to locally download anything. You just need to plug a controller in and have a steady wi-fi or data connection. With those two things, you're set.
You simply click on a game and it'll boot up. Xbox 360 titles are available but so too are PC, Xbox One, and Series X|S games. What's more, current and next-gen titles support cloud saving meaning that, for instance, if you played Octopath Travelers on your Xbox and then booted it up through the cloud on your laptop, you'd share your progress.
This is all in an effort to widen the pool of people who can try out Xbox games so, if you've been hankering to play some classics or don't have the hardware for the newly released The Ascent, then you're in luck – this new Insider update opens new doors.
