The story of Scarlet Nexus can be surprisingly enigmatic. This JRPG title has a couple of reveals that will come as a surprise to many players. However, as many questions as the game answers, it also leaves the same amount up in the air. These questions will leave you scratching your head and yearning for a follow-up title.

Because of the themes and story tropes Scarlet Nexus utilizes, such as powers, extraterrestrial factors, and time travel, it's only natural that it will be plagued with a myriad of questions. These are the questions you and many of the other players who have played the game may have about Scarlet Nexus.
Who Are The Other Septentrion Members?
The Septentrion is held in high regard in the world of Scarlet Nexus. They are considered to be the most powerful OSF soldiers in the organization. This group is also covered in a shroud of mystery. The only known members of the Septentrion are Karen, Fubuki, Luka, and Seto.
It is currently unknown who the other members are. It is speculated that Yuta Melone may also be a Septentrion, but until it is revealed by the developers, this information will be just speculation.
Will Yuito Really Lose His Powers?
Late in the game, it is revealed that Yuito was originally born without powers, otherwise known in the game as a "Dud". Duds who are artificially engineered to have powers are said to eventually lose them. Incidentally, Yuito begins to show signs of losing his abilities.
Despite this fact, you meet Future Yuito in Kasane's run and he is still as powerful as ever. With this in mind, will the present-timeline Yuito still go on to lose his powers?
What Was Up With The Two Karens?
Karen's plan throughout the game shifts as a result of the death of Alice. It is revealed that, by using the combined powers of Yuito and Kasane, he traveled back in time to assassinate Yakumo and take his place.

However, in Scarlet Nexus's last section, Karen exclaims he was hindered from traveling back in time, only to be greeted by another Karen. This scenario seems to create a paradox wherein if Karen is hindered from traveling back in time, then how did he manage to assassinate Yakumo in the first place?
Will Other Characters Accompany Kasane To The Moon?
Kasane's wish for her future is to travel to the moon to help the occupants there. Her desire is to make sure that what happened to Naomi won't happen to anyone ever again, and the Moon seems like the perfect place to do that.
It is also hinted that other characters may accompany Kasane on her journey, like Tsugumi and Kyoka. With this in mind, will there be a future title that will explore Kasane's adventures on the moon? If so, which other characters will come with her?
Will Hanabi Confess To Yuito?
Hanabi is so into Yuito that it's somewhat hilarious the latter hasn't figured it out. She has also disclosed this information to Kasane, who strongly supports her feelings. At the end of Yuito's run, Hanabi tells Yuito they'll have something to talk about "when the time is right."
Will Hanabi ever reveal her affections towards Yuito? If so, what will the future hold for both of them? It may be inconsequential in the grand scheme of the game's story, but it certainly affects both of their stories.
Are Powers Assigned Randomly?
In the alternate reality world of Scarlet Nexus, humanity has discovered a substance in their brains that allows them to gain supernatural abilities. That much is known in Scarlet Nexus's lore. However, why a person gains the specific powers they do is unknown.
It is interesting, though, that Wakana, Yuito, and Kasane all have the same powers. Perhaps the power a person can unlock is tied to their lineage.
What Is The True Nature Of The Others?
It is known that the Others originate from somewhere in space. However, humans have also gained the ability to transform other people into these creatures by using a material that has originated from the Extinction Belt.

As vague as these explanations are, it is even more unclear just where exactly the Others and the materials used to create them come from. Their true nature is also unknown. Are they parasites? Are they a sentient alien species?
Will Luka Lose His Powers?
Like Yuito, Luka's powers were also artificially "given" to him. Unlike his brother, Luka wasn't born with the innate ability to gain powers, making him a Dud. Duds are known to eventually lose their powers. With this in mind, will a future installment contain a powerless Luka?
Luka's Teleportation ability is one of the most incredible SAS powers in Scarlet Nexus. If there were to be a future installment, it would be a shame to lose this ability and have Luka absent from the party.
Was Kasane Seiran's Original Target?
While Naomi ended up being the Other Seiran transformed, it is clear that the original target was Kasane. Naomi only managed to save her sister because of her precognitive powers.
Did Seiran really intend to target Kasane instead? Or do they pick their victims randomly and Kasane just happened to be the one they chose that day, only for Naomi to step up and get hit instead? The answer to this is unclear, nor is it even alluded to in the game.
Will This Story Continue In A Sequel?
The story of Scarlet Nexus is very mysterious and surprisingly deep. There are so many more things in this game that could benefit from a continued media. There's already an animated series based on this game. If there won't be any sequel, perhaps the story will be explored further in the series.
However, fans of the game will surely want a follow-up title. This will ultimately depend on Scarlet Nexus's success in the coming months and years.
