Kanye West has been collaborating with Adidas to craft some highly questionable sneakers lately – but new images claiming to be part of the Yeezy lineup look awfully familiar. According to pretty much all of Twitter, that's because they look identical to footwear found in the world of RuneScape.
Images of supposed Yeezy sneakers have been making the rounds online this week, with one mockup in particular catching the eyes of RuneScape fans. The awkwardly bulbous and confidently orange sneakers look suspiciously similar to that of NPCs and low-level players roaming the world of Gielinor.

Fans were quick to put their own spin on the new sneakers, offering up renders of both Fighting Boots and Fancy Boots in the now-iconic Yeezy design. The renders were so popular that they were actually picked up and retweeted by the official RuneScape account. And, in all honesty, those Fancy Boots don't look too out of place next to the rest of the bizarre sneaker lineup:
Unfortunately for everyone, however, the original images appear to be fake fan renders – in other words, Kanye had nothing to do with these beautiful shoes, and you'll never see them on store shelves.
While Kanye continues to do whatever it is Kanye does, RuneScape continues to put up impressive player counts despite being 20 years old. In fact, anniversary celebrations have been going on all year long as a way to thank the community for sticking with the game after all these years.
Here's hoping we get a real Kayne x RuneScape collaboration as a way to close out the 20th-anniversary celebrations.
