The next killer coming to Dead by Daylight has been announced and is currently playable in the PTB servers. This killer is the Blight, also known as Talbot Grimes and the Alchemist. He will be made available in the main game when the “Descend Beyond” DLC is released in September.
Like all other killers in Dead by Daylight, the Blight comes with three teachable perks and a plethora of add-ons that enhance the killing experience. These can all be very dangerous for survivors that don’t know what to expect.

While the perks can be learned by all other killers after unlocking their teachable version, the add-ons for the Blight can only be used by the Blight. This is because they are specifically meant to work with the Blight’s abilities and not any other killer’s abilities.
The Blight has three teachable perks. They are:
- Dragon’s Grip – After damaging a generator it will be put in a booby-trapped like state that the survivors can’t see for 30 seconds. The first survivor that interacts with it in this state will scream, revealing their location for 4 seconds while also gaining the Exposed status effect for 60 seconds. This perk has a cool-down of 120/100/80 seconds.
- Hex: Blood Favour – When the killer hits a survivor with a normal attack, all pallets within 16 meters of the killer are locked for 15 and cannot be pulled down by any survivor. This perk has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.
- Hex: Undying – When a different Hex Totem is cleansed, the Hex will be transferred to another Dull Totem if any are left standing. However, Hex Totems that run on a Token system will have their Tokens reset upon the transfer. Additionally, the auras of survivors within 2 meters of any Totem will be revealed for 4/5/6 seconds.
The Blight has twenty different add-ons of differing rarities. They are:
- Placebo Tablet – Reduces Rush Fatigue Time by 0.25 seconds
- Foxglove – Increases Rush Movement speed by 8%
- Compound Seven – Increases Rush Turn rate by 1.05
