The Ace Combat series has been going strong for 25 years, and to celebrate, the developers have decided to release a DLC pack for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, featuring some very well known pieces of content.

Regarded as one of the better simulator games in recent memory, Ace Combat 7 was released on January 18, 2019, with solid critical success. And now the arcade-style combat and flight sim is receiving three fan-favorite planes from previous games via DLC.

The planes that will come with the DLC are the ASF-X  (Shinden 2) from Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, the CFA-44 (Nosferatu) from Ace Combat 6, and the XFA-27. The XFA-27 is a special vehicle in the series, as it was the first fictional aircraft in the series, designed with ’90s stealth fighters in mind.

Included in the DLC are also 10 skins for the aircraft, as well as 20 new emblems. Additionally, a new Casual Easy Difficulty will be added to the game, which may entice new buyers. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unkown recently hit 2 million sales, which is a very nice milestone.

Ace Combat 7 also was added to Xbox Game Pass not too long ago. So if there is anyone on the fence about trying the combat and flight simulator, now may be a perfect time to do so, especially the new content and easier difficulty. In fact, with the amazing critical success of Microsoft Flight Simulator, Xbox/PC gamers now have a few different styles of flying games to chose from for free within Xbox Game Pass, which is very neat considering it is a genre that was once flying high as a keystone in the industry.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unkown is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
