Aliens: Fireteam Elite – Recon Class Abilities and Perk

With respect to what the Recon class in Aliens: Fireteam Elite brings to the table, they have two unique abilities at their disposal, both of which provide support to teammates. The first of those abilities centers around the Parameter Uplink Spectrograph, or PUPS, a drone that can reveal the positions of nearby enemies and lower their damage by 20% temporarily. The Recon’s other ability is its Support Drone, which can be used to replenish the ammo of teammates in a targeted area, increase their accuracy and stability by 20%, and give them a bit of healing each time that they dispatch a foe.

The Recon class also has its own Perk, which is dubbed Focus. This Perk grants an additional 10% accuracy and stability when a headshot kill is performed upon an Aliens: Fireteam Elite enemy that has been marked by PUPS, and it stacks up to three times. While players will need to be somewhat precise with their shooting in order to get this Perk up and running, it seems that it could be quite powerful when coupled with the accuracy and stability bonuses that come from the Support Drone ability.

As players work to unlock the Recon, they can familiarize themselves with the four classes that are available straightaway. Each of these have their own playstyles, abilities, and perks, and indeed fans may fall in love with one of them before they ever reach the end of the campaign in this new co-op shooter.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite releases August 24 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
