Apex Legends And Titanfall Attacks Were Done By The Same Hackers

As you likely know by now, both Apex Legends and Titanfall have been repeatedly attacked by hackers. Both games have been unplayable at different points, though Titanfall suffered the worst of it. There has also been plenty of confusion about who is actually responsible for the attacks. When Apex Legends was hacked in early July, the hackers had created a new playlist name, which sent players to a website dedicated to saving Titanfall.

Though players were sent to savetitanfall.com, the staff there had disavowed the hack. So, who was to blame? As it turns out, a member of the Titanfall community who goes by the username p0358 was working with other members of the Discord group named Remnant Fleet to keep the Titanfall games dead. This might sound counter-intuitive, but their goal was to get Respawn to hire them or give control of the servers to them so that they could revive a canceled Titanfall Online project.

Discord messages between p0358 and other members of the Remnant Fleet showed them discussing the “operation Titanfall” attack, which took place on July 4 in Apex Legends, though they denied having anything to do with the Apex Legends attack.

User p0358 was actually widely praised for their public efforts to convince Respawn into handing over control of the Titanfall 1 servers, as this person posted a whole plan of how they would fix the game. After raking in the praise, it turned out that this strong Titanfall advocate was not only behind the Titanfall hacks, but they have also been behind an attack on the Apex Legends tournament, specifically targeting pro players.

According to Dexerto, the admin of Remnant Fleet states that things were “taken out of context” in an attempt to slander them, though the screen shots give a pretty clear picture of what has been going on behind the scenes. For a clearer picture, Savetitanfall.com has included the details of everything that has taken place so far.
