Apex Legends Emergence: Seer’s Abilities Finally Revealed

The new Legend coming in Apex Legends Season 10 is Seer, but you probably already knew that thanks to last week’s big reveal. We know he’s got a semi-mystical background as a “cursed man,” which was expounded upon in The Moth and the Flame short animation series. Something about him just makes everyone around him wind up dead or decimated, and we’re still waiting to find out exactly what that something is.

In the meantime, we’ve got the full lowdown on Seer’s abilities courtesy of Gamespot. We got a brief overview at EA Play last Thursday, but now we’ve got a fuller explanation of how Seer’s kit works.

Seer's Passive, Heartseeker, allows him to hear heartbeats while aiming down sights. His tactical ability, Focus of Attention, releases several mini-drones after a slight delay and marks enemies in front of him. This interrupts the use of healing items and revives but also reveals to Seer's teammates the locations and health status of marked enemies for eight seconds.

Seer's Ultimate is called Exhibit. He throws out his heart chamber and releases hundreds of moth drones to form a bubble over a wide area. Enemies inside that bubble that move quickly or fire their weapons become marked, revealing their location and also their footsteps to Seer and his allies. The heart chamber isn't invincible, however, and just like Crypto's drone or Horizon's N.E.W.T., it can be destroyed to end the ultimate prematurely.

This kit makes Seer out to be a tracker character, less like Pathfinder or Crypto and more like Bloodhound in terms of playstyle. His abilities are best used in close-in spaces, so expect to find Seer inside buildings carefully marking enemies he spots using his moth drones or heartbeat sensor.
