Last week at EA Play 2021, Respawn Entertainment gave Apex Legends fans at the latest upcoming season known as Emergence. For many, the biggest piece of Season 10 is the newest character joining the roster, a mysterious man who goes by the name Seer. As expected, Seer's move set revolves around locating enemies, marking them using his minidrones if they move or fire their weapon.
In addition to Seer, Emergence sees a number of massive changes come to the World's End map. The mining that has been going on has finally went a step too far as the harvester created a massive crack that saw the destruction of the Sorting Factory which triggered a landslide that has since buried the Train Yard. In addition to new points of interesting, the season update also brings about a change to care packages which should intrigue longtime fans.

Starting on August 3 when the new update arrives for all players, the Care Package is losing the Prowler SMG, which is instead returning to ground loot. In addition, the Prowler is also losing the ability to switch to automatic fire, only giving players access to Burst Fire.
Since the Prowler is leaving Care Packages, Respawn is adding the Spitfire and Alternator in its place. From Care Packages, the Spitfire is also reverting back to its pre-nerfed state while the Alternator comes equipped with Disruptor Rounds. Longtime players may remember that this combination was added back in Season 2 and immediately removed a season later due to how powerful the combination was. Disruptor Rounds gain increased damage against body armor, making them ideal for shredding players quickly.
These adjustments to Care Packages are also impacting the Arenas game mode. During Season 10, Apex Legends players will need to buy the Prowler and will no longer be able to purchase the Alternator or Spitfire.
For now, Apex Legends players can take part in a Seer preview event. For those who don't mind doing a little exploring on the World's End map, there's a small chirping device that can be located in a number of different places around the map. Players can also look for yellow moth graffiti and clusters of blue lights to find the device, which will cause their character to offer a few thoughts on the upcoming Legend joining the roster. The device actually contains some of Seer's minidrones, and finding it unlocks a special weapon charm called the “Bespoke Micro-Drone” gun charm.
Apex Legends is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
