The Borderlands franchise has proven to be an endless source of inspiration for various cosplayers online. Its wealth of characters are regularly brought to life with striking detail, from the beloved Tiny Tina to hard-nosed soldiers like Roland and Axton. Arguably the most beloved of them all is the Hyperion CEO known as Handsome Jack, and one fan brought the notorious villain to life in their latest cosplay effort.
Twitter user @MaryLaufeyson shared the detailed Handsome Jack cosplay done by Feinobi, one half of Mary & Feinobi cosplay. The duo regularly share Borderlands cosplays online, with Mary highlighting many of the franchises women and Feinobi taking the men. Their efforts have also included cosplays inspired by Star Wars, Resident Evil, Deus Ex, and many more.

However, the love the pair have for Handsome Jack is evident in Feinobi's cosplay. Titled "The Fall of Handsome Jack," Feinobi's latest effort is based on the Hyperion CEO's final moments at the end of Borderlands 2 campaign. Feinobi's Jack is bloody and bruised, his suit is dirty from fighting the vault hunters, and Jack's scarred face is clearly visible while gripping the infamous mask.
Mary and Feinobi's love of Jack is one shared by most within the Borderlands community. He is widely considered the best villain in the franchise, combining a degree of charm, wit, and self-aggrandizing to hide his dark, manipulative, and extremely violent side. He is also the character who had the biggest impact on Borderlands' narrative stretching beyond his starring role in Borderlands 2.
Jack was first introduced in Borderlands 2 as the game's primary villain looking to cleanse Pandora of all "bandits" and unlock another vault said to contain a legendary, powerful alien creature. He was defeated at the end of the campaign after players killed The Warrior and finally killed the Hyperion CEO. However, it would not be the last time players would get to interact with the unhinged Jack.
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel took players back in time to aid Jack while he is still a Hyperion programmer in his hunt for a vault on Pandora's moon of Elpis. It is revealed he was responsible for the events of the first Borderlands, how his face was scarred, and his ultimate rise to Hyperion CEO. It also established his relationships with characters like Claptrap, Mad Moxxi, and Timothy Lawrence, a body-double who would return in the Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC for Borderlands 3.
Jack's final series appearance would be in Tales from the Borderlands as an AI construct in the mind of Rhys, one of the game's two lead characters. He would attempt to influence players into making certain choices in an effort to live on through the Hyperion employee. The ending could see Rhys rise to the top of Hyperion thanks to Jack's aid or the pair's relationship could end after Rhys cuts out his ECHO-eye to rid himself of Jack.
