Call of Duty Vanguard Leak Reveals New Detail Regarding Warzone Reveal

Call of Duty is expected to be returning to World War 2 in this year's release, but details regarding its reveal are still unknown. Similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the reveal is expected to appear in Call of Duty: Warzone through an in-game event. When this happens, Call of Duty could be making any number of changes to the battle royale during the next release's reveal.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was unveiled shortly after its release, and because of its integration, Verdansk was sent back in time. Call of Duty: Warzone fans got to witness several in-game events with the reveal trailer's cinematic, a nuclear blast, and many other story clips cycled throughout the game. As Call of Duty Vanguard heads towards release, fans are on the search for clues that could hint at what is in store for the official reveal.

While there has been no official reveal from Activision thus far, the community has received leaks regarding possible upcoming content. A notorious Call of Duty leaker known as Alaix COD revealed an interesting audio clip that hints at what fans may be able to expect in the coming months. In the audio recording, fans can hear the sound of a commander call from MW2 warning players of an incoming AC-130 assault. This is an iconic killstreak and plane for the MW2 audience, and many believe it could mean that a gunship will be involved in the reveal for Call of Duty Vanguard.

When Call of Duty Vanguard launches, fans are expecting another map makeover and new killstreaks. Despite information being limited, fans are expecting a World War 2 evolution to take over the game after the next integration. One theory suggests that AC-130 will be a new killstreak within the game, but it may turn out to only be part of the initial reveal.

In the comments, many fans wonder how the developers will stretch the story to fit the Call of Duty Vanguard integration. Currently, the game is set in the 1980s; however, for the AC-130 to be relevant, the game will have to travel 40 years into the past. With the Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk redesign, it is viable that this can happen, but the narrative will have to be stretched to cover another jump in time.

Still, this points Call of Duty: Warzone fans in the general direction of the upcoming reveal. Call of Duty Vanguard is expected to launch later this year, and the developers have confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone will take part in the reveal process. Now, fans have the possibility of the famed AC-130 from MW2 making an appearance in Call of Duty down the line.
