As well as Deathloop, Playstation will also be showcasing multiple upcoming third-party and indie titles, none of which it has mentioned by name. “This showcase will not include updates on the next God of War, Horizon Forbidden West or the next generation of PlayStation VR,” has been pinned to the bottom of PlayStation's reveal. In fairness, anyone waiting for even more info about Horizon Forbidden West has already been spoiled on that front. One of the most recent State of Play presentations featured a lot of its gameplay and a boatload of new info.

As for the new God of War game, you probably have every right to be hungry for new info on that front. All we knew was its name, Ragnarok, and PlayStation has since confirmed even that was just a placeholder. The silver lining for God of War fans is right after telling people not to get their hopes up for this week's State of Play, PlayStation has added news on other titles will come over the summer.

As for this week's State of Play, the show will stream live on PlayStation's YouTube and Twitch channels starting at 5 pm EST this coming Thursday. While it might not feature some major titles you want to see more of, the reveal of more Deathloop info alone should be enough to get excited about. Arkane's newest offering, which is now slated to be here by September, is an innovative one that could well be a contender for game of the year.
