Destiny 2: As Prophesied Quest Guide

Quick Links

As Prophesied is the last story quest tied to Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer. Osiris has disappeared. Lakshmi-2 has opened a Vex Portal to the Eliksni Quarter, leading a Vex invasion right into the heart of the city. You'll need to work alongside the Eliksni to save the City from destruction.

The quest itself is effectively a showcase of Season 14's final Override mission—Override: Last City. There aren't any strange gimmicks or a unique final boss in this mission; you'll mainly be fighting Taken in the Eliskni Quarter. Bring Anti-Champion mods, a good Heavy weapon, and make sure you've completed all previous Splicer story quests.

Listen To Lakshmi-2's Broadcast

Speak to the Splicer Servitor in the H.E.L.M. once you arrive. It'll direct you to the broadcast array at the other end of the room. Lakshmi-2 has grown tired of the Vanguard's compliance with the Eliskni and has taken matters into her own hands. She, along with the alleged help of Osiris, has opened a Vex portal into the Eliskni Quarter. Her message abruptly ends with the sounds of gunfire and a Vex stabbing Lakshmi-2.

Defend The Last City

Override: Last City is the final Override mission in Season 14, tasking Guardians with defending the Eliksni Quarter from an army of Taken. Mechanically, it's exactly the same as other Override missions. Here are the modifiers you can expect:

Override: Last City Modifiers

Martyr Exploding units have more health.
Epitaph Taken combatants generate blight geysers when defeated.
Champions: Barrier Barrier Hobgoblins are present.
Champions: Unstoppable Unstoppable Phalanxes are present.

To reiterate, Barrier and Unstoppable Champions are present in this mission. Be sure you have a means of countering or quickly killing them. As per usual, weapons and abilities that make short work of trash adds work best here. Warmind Cells, Trinity Ghoul, Grenade Launchers, and SMGs are all great choices. Swords are also great for taking out minibosses and the final Override boss. Speaking of, the final boss as of writing is Portunos, Subjagated Mind—a Vex Minotaur. There are no changes to the Vex Network section of this mission.

The only unique aspect of this mission is the very opening: two Vex Wyverns and fodder Vex are present right when the mission begins. Clear out the Vex to start the Splicing sequence. Taken Acolytes and Captains will spawn throughout the first section. Clear them out as normal.

When you've completed 33% of the hacking sequence, Vex Minotaurs or Ogres will spawn. These enemies can dish out a good bit of damage, so focus on killing them as fast as possible. A Breach and Clear GL or Sword will do the trick. Break the data cubes that spawn around the Override pylon, as normal, then repeat the process until you reach the Vex Network. Reach and defeat the Override boss to finish the mission and this quest step.

Speak To NPCs

Story Spoilers Below

As with most story quests, you'll spend the last few steps talking to NPCs around the Tower. Before you speak to anyone, a cutscene will play depicting the defense of the Last City. We aren't going to spoil it in this guide, but it is definitely worth seeing. Make your way to the Tower when you're ready.

Speak To Saint-14

You'll find Saint-14 in the eastern Tower Hanger. He's in his usual spot, feeding pigeons under his iconic ship. Run straight across the hanger to find him.

Saint will comment on his compassion towards the Fallen and the successful defense of their people. He swears to defend the House of Light as if they were his own.

Speak To Ikora

Ikora is in the western section of the Tower, overlooking the southern end of the Bazaar. She'll reassure you that the defense was a success, although Osiris has yet to show himself. Lakshmi's death has caused the City's factions—Future War Cult, New Monarchy, and Dead Orbit—to leave entirely, likely never to return.

This will grant the final page, allowing you to obtain the Splicer title—assuming you didn't already grab this page when it was accidentally released a few weeks ago.
