We are six weeks away from the beginning of Season 15 of Destiny 2, and that means it's time for Bungie to start teasing us with what we can expect next season. We don't have a name, we don't have a theme, but we do have a promise to update and unify the reward tracks for every core playlist activity in the game.
Much like what happened with Crucible in Season 13 and Gambit in Season of the Splicer, Strikes will gain a reputation reward system in Season 15 that will replace the current system of handing Zavala Vanguard tokens for a random reward. This means that Vanguard Tokens will be retired at the end of the season, so cash them all in before Season 15 before you lose them forever.
Infamy and Valor ranks will also be retired starting in Season 15. In their place will just be simple Crucible and Gambit reputation, which are both awarded after completing Crucible and Gambit matches. Win-streak bonuses are also being retired in favor of "activity-streak" bonuses, which will basically reward players regardless of whether they win or lose so long as they continue playing the same activity.
Heading to the Tower or taking a brief break will maintain your activity-streak, but quitting a match in progress or going AFK long enough to get kicked for inactivity will cause Guardians to lose their streak.

Bounties will no longer provide Infamy or Valor (nor their new equivalent of Gambit or Crucible ranks), and instead will focus on providing XP to rank up your season pass and seasonal artifact. But considering the new activity-streak bonus, Bungie expects most players to be able to complete their seasonal activity ranks much faster than before even without bounties helping them along.
Glory, competitive Crucible's ranking stat, will remain the same but will be revamped in a later season.
Ritual weapons are also changing. Instead of being provided in a quest at the beginning of the season, Ritual weapons and their ornaments will be provided as part of the Ritual Reward ranking system for each core playlist.
As for right now, Bungie's latest TWAB notes that Merciless is back as an Amazon Prime reward and that there's a bug preventing the reissued Dreaming City weapons from dropping. Best focus on the Moon weapons until Bungie gets that fixed.
